Rob Tucker has extensive work experience in the field of design and software development.

Rob began their career at Studio Audio Video in 1995 as a Software Engineer. Rob then moved on to i2 Group in 1997 as a Software Developer.

In 2001, Rob joined Microsoft Research as a Software Engineer/Designer, where they were involved in prototyping new product ideas and extensions to Office applications and Internet Explorer. Rob also played a role in incorporating Natural Language Processing into Search Technologies and co-invented three patents related to hyperlink preview utility, resource browser sessions search, and navigating a resource browser session.

Rob returned to i2 Group in 2004, where they took on various roles, including Software Engineer & Researcher, Development Manager, Lead Architect and Designer, Lead Software Designer & Architect, and Head of Specification and Design. In these positions, they managed teams, led architectural and design efforts, and worked closely with customers and Subject Matter Experts to gather and validate product requirements.

In 2013, Rob joined IBM i2 as the Lead Designer for the IBM i2 portfolio. Rob held this role until 2018, during which they contributed to the design and development of IBM i2 products.

Recently, in 2019, Rob joined EncompaaS as the Head of Design. In this role, they take a user experience-driven approach to the EncompaaS portfolio, championing the application of UX methods to understand and solve user problems. Rob is also responsible for interaction and visual design.

Throughout their career, Rob has consistently demonstrated their expertise in design, software development, and leadership roles.

Rob Tucker attended Staffordshire University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a First Class degree in Computing Science.
