Thomas Cates

Thomas Cates began their career in 1987 as a Marketing Rep at IBM. In 1992, they took on two roles as a Senior Associate at both DRC and Mercer Management Consulting. In 1995, they became a Senior Partner at Sherbrooke Associates, Inc. and in 1999, they became a Limited Partner at Sherbrooke Capital, LLC. In 2000, they were appointed Chairman and President at The Brookeside Group. In 2021, they took on the role of Professor at the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Most recently, in 2015, they founded and became Chief Storyteller of Encompass-CX, a technology-based solutions company that helps B2B clients drive revenue growth.

Thomas Cates received their MBA from The Wharton School in 1992, majoring in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they obtained a BAE from Penn State University in 1985, majoring in Architectural Engineering.
