Mark Burrows Smith

Mark Burrows Smith is a senior executive who has led multiple waste management, recycling, and energy infrastructure businesses. They held Chief Executive Officer and Director roles at Cerberus Group Companies (2015–2020) and were Chief Executive Officer at Bioverda Power Systems (2015–2017), and they led Textile Recycling International as Group Chief Executive Officer & Chairman (2020–2023) and again as Group CEO (2024–2025). They also served as COO/Operations Director at Viridor (2011–2015) and as Regional Director (2007–2011), and held board and executive positions with WEEE Europe AG (Board Director, 2017–2020), Repic Limited (CEO, 2016–2020), and Greenstar (CEO, 2015–2016). They are pursuing a BSc in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at Kingston University, and previously earned an MSc in Materials Engineering from the University of London (2014–2015) and a Business Administration and Management degree from Ashridge International Business School (2014–2015).
