Mark Heffernan is currently an Environmental Manager at Encyclis, overseeing environmental compliance for the largest waste to energy plant in the state. Previously, they served as Regional Environmental Manager at Covanta Europe Operations Limited and held a similar role in the Dublin waste to energy project from 2016 to 2021. Mark's earlier experience includes managing the largest landfill facility in Ireland for South Dublin County Council from 1998 to 2016. They hold an MSc in Environmental Protection from the Institute of Technology, Sligo, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons in Science from The Open University.
