Steve Askar

Steve Askar is an accomplished educator and leader with a strong background in equity and inclusivity initiatives. As a Race Equity and Leadership Coach at Citizen Schools, Steve analyzed data to identify equity gaps and designed a STEM mentorship program for middle school students. In roles at BYU-Idaho and Thrive Public Schools, Steve managed tutoring programs and led efforts to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion for a diverse student population. As a Co-Founder and COO of Readlee, Steve developed innovative reading instruction software recognized with multiple awards. Steve’s leadership experiences, including serving as a Board Member at encyrcle and as a RIDES Fellow at Harvard University, reflect a commitment to improving educational outcomes and fostering community engagement. Steve's educational achievements include a 4.0 GPA from Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
