Mark Thurston

Mark Thurston is the current Chief Financial Officer at Endava. Prior to this, they served as the Finance Director at Paragon & esg from May 2011 to March 2015. Mark was brought in during a time of transition for the company in order to help turn things around.

Under their leadership, Paragon & esg saw significant improvements. Mark pushed performance accountability down the organisation, introduced new operating metrics and KPIs, and tightened up cash management and forecasting. Mark also created a shared service for finance, management information and IT, which helped reduce costs and improve quality across the board.

Thurston was instrumental in leading the refinancing of both esg and Paragon. Mark also worked closely with the MD of Paragon to close or rationalize unprofitable divisions, exit uneconomic sites, and grow revenue through securing new contracts. Thanks to their efforts, Paragon & esg was successfully turned around and is now a thriving business.

Mark Thurston completed a type 2i field in physics at Durham University.

Mark Thurston reports to John Cotterall, CEO. They work with Eoin Woods - Chief Technology Officer, Frank Zahn - Delivery Director, and Julian Bull - Chief Commercial Officer.
