Michael Sumares

Michael Sumares, CA has extensive experience in finance, treasury, and tax roles. Michael worked at Endeavour Mining as the Senior Vice President of Finance, Treasury, and Tax from January 2023 to the present, and previously held the role of Vice President in the same department from March 2011 to April 2023. Before joining Endeavour Mining, they worked as a Senior Accountant at KPMG in the Cayman Islands from December 2009 to March 2011. Michael also served as a Supervisor at KPMG South Africa from January 2007 to December 2009.

Michael Sumares, CA, attended the University of the Witwatersrand from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in CA(SA). In 2006, they briefly enrolled in the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and completed a Bcompt(CTA) degree in CA(SA).
