Michael Moore's work experience begins in 2013 when they worked at Coles as a Grocery employee until 2016. In 2015, they also took on the role of IT Manager at AAOK Parks, managing the online presence of several caravan parks and a hotel.
In 2016, Moore became self-employed as a freelance web designer, creating websites primarily using WordPress and other builders like Squarespace, Wix, and Weebly. Michael also provided domain name management, hosting, and email setup services for clients.
During this time, from 2016 to 2018, Moore also worked as a private high school tutor, specializing in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
In 2016, they were also involved in revitalizing the UQ Beer and Rum Society, serving as the Treasurer and Technology Manager. Michael helped grow the membership base, organized events, and managed the society's finances and marketing.
From 2017 to 2018, Moore was a Volleyball Coach at Brisbane Grammar School, coaching teams and leading them to success in competitions. Michael also served as a Public Purpose Assistant, managing data and student involvement in voluntary and charity programs.
In 2017, Moore joined Itoc as a Cloud Engineer and later became the Cloud Operations Team Lead, working with various infrastructure technologies and managing customers' AWS environments. Eventually, they took on the role of AWS Well Architected Program Lead, building the Well Architected practice and team, reviewing customers' AWS environments, and providing solutions to improve operations, security, performance, reliability, and cost.
Moore's most recent work experience is as the Co-Founder and CTO of Endla, a company focused on developing core technology to reduce the cost of physical engineering assets. Michael led the development of their first product, AlphaSpace, an auto-design tool for oil and gas well completions, which is already being used by major Australian companies.
Michael Moore attended Brisbane Grammar School from 2008 to 2014, where they studied English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics B, Mathematics C, and Latin. From 2015 to 2021, they studied at The University of Queensland and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) (Hons) degree with a specialization in Computer Software Engineering (Hons) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a specialization in Mathematics. In 2019, they briefly attended The University of British Columbia, focusing on Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. Additionally, Michael has obtained various certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in fields such as Devops Engineering, Development, SysOps Administration, Alexa Skill Building, Machine Learning, Big Data, Advanced Networking, Security, and Solutions Architecture at both the Associate and Professional levels. In 2017, they also attained Level 1 and Level 2 certifications from Volleyball Australia in Foundation Refereeing and Talent Development Coaching, respectively.
