Nima Nikzad

Nima Nikzad has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Manager of Data Science & MLOps at Endpoint since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Endpoint from April 2021 to September 2022.

Before joining Endpoint, Nima worked at Experian as a Data Scientist II from September 2017 to April 2021. During their time there, they developed custom credit risk models and a new credit risk score for consumers with limited credit history. Nima also handled documentation, model deployment, and developed code-generation tools to accelerate the process.

From July 2015 to September 2017, Nima worked at the Scripps Translational Science Institute as a Data Scientist. In this role, they led the analysis of wellness data, oversaw the deployment of a new analytical pipeline, and managed collaborations with the San Diego Supercomputer Center.

Nima's career began at the University of California, San Diego, where they completed their PhD studies from September 2009 to April 2015. Nima'sresearch focused on mobile health monitoring, ubiquitous computing, and energy management policies for mobile devices. As a graduate student, they also worked on the Citisense project, which explored tracking air quality and pollution through embedded devices and sensors in San Diego.

Moreover, Nima gained valuable industry experience as a Research Intern at Nokia in 2011, a Software Engineer - Intern at Cisco in 2008, and a Network Programming Intern at Treyarch in 2007. Nima also served as a CENS Intel Scholar and conducted undergraduate research at UCLA from November 2006 to June 2007.

Nima Nikzad's education history begins in 2001 when they attended Northwood High School. Nima completed their high school education in 2005, after which they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at UCLA from 2005 to 2009. In 2009, Nima enrolled in UC San Diego for their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2012. Continuing their education at UC San Diego, Nima went on to obtain their PhD in Computer Science, graduating in 2014.
