Mathias Schäkel

Mathias Schäkel is an accomplished environmental specialist with extensive experience in renewable energy and environmental protection. Currently serving as Team Lead at ENERCON since February 2015, Mathias heads the Environmental Compatibility department, focusing on people coaching, empowering teams, and optimizing processes. Previous roles at ENERCON include Project Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed immission reduction support and project management in a research and development context. Mathias also has academic experience as a Member of Research Staff and Student Research Assistant at Hochschule Bremen, contributing to projects aimed at optimizing offshore wind farm systems. Mathias holds a Master of Engineering in sustainable energy systems and a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering, complemented by international studies at the Technical University of Denmark.
