Program Director, Sustainable Transportation at Energetics

Bryan Roy's work experience includes a range of roles in the field of sustainable transportation and advanced technology deployments. Bryan worked at Energetics as a Program Director, overseeing a team focused on alternative fuels and advanced transportation technologies. Bryan also served as a Principal Engineer and Program Manager, leading Energetic's commercial sector program for the Sustainable Transportation Solutions group. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Engineer and Team Lead at Energetics, where they focused on research and engineering projects in renewable energy, with a particular emphasis on advanced transportation technologies.

Before their time at Energetics, Bryan worked at New West Technologies, LLC as a Project Manager, where they led feasibility studies and technology demonstrations for advanced transportation technologies. Bryan also served as a Project Engineer at the same company.

Earlier in their career, Bryan worked at the North Carolina Solar Center (NCSU) as a Clean Transportation Specialist and Engineering Assistant. Bryan began their professional career as a Science and Math Teacher in the Peace Corps.

Bryan's work experience spans over 20 years and includes leading and contributing to technical and feasibility assessments, technology demonstrations, outreach education projects, and data collection and analysis in the field of sustainable transportation and advanced energy technologies.

Bryan Roy obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College from 1996 to 2000. Bryan then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University from 2005 to 2006.

In terms of additional certifications, Bryan obtained an Intern Engineer certification from the University of the State of New York in November 2000. Bryan also completed Advanced Photovoltaic Installer and Maintenance Training at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in July 2008. Additionally, they acquired Advanced Solar Thermal Design certification from Mohawk Valley Community College in October 2009 and Small Wind Energy Technician Training from the Renewable Energy Training Center at Morrisville State College in April 2010. Lastly, they obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in October 2013.
