Fred Crowson

Fred Crowson is a Subject Matter Expert at Energetics, where they provide expertise to the Materials Technology Team for the Department of Energy, focusing on lightweight materials and fuel efficiency. Previously, they served as Chief of the Physical Science and Technology Division at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency from 2004 to 2009, managing a significant research program. Additionally, Crowson held roles including Technical Director for the Office of the Secretary of the Navy and Supervisory Materials Engineer at Naval Sea Systems Command. They began their career as a Chemical/Environmental Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, where they were instrumental in establishing the Navy's Chemical-Biological-Radiological Defense Program. Crowson earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
