Bent Sømod

Bent Sømod is a Senior Project Manager in Planning and Environment at Energinet, a role they rejoined in February 2021, focusing on the Energy Island Baltic Project. Prior to this, Sømod served as a Senior Project Manager at Niras from December 2018 to January 2021, and held a similar position at Energinet.dk from 2013 to 2018, overseeing environmental administration for offshore wind projects. Their extensive experience also includes working at COWI A/S as a Senior Project Manager and Head of Section, where they managed environmental assessments and legislation. Sømod has engaged in marine ecosystem research and has a deep knowledge of Danish marine environments, contributing significantly to national monitoring programs. They are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology at Aarhus University.
