Principle RF Hardware Engineer at Energous

Bob Bernert has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Bob started their career in 1987 as a Manufacturing Engineer at Litton Data Systems. From there, they moved on to Hughes Aircraft Company, where they worked as an Engineer for seven years, gaining experience in dealing with passive microwave satellite hardware and designing and developing passive microwave products.

In 1995, they joined Lockheed Martin WDL as a Design Engineer, responsible for designing internal wiring and layout for complex RF base station subsystems, ordering components, and conducting module integration, firmware definition, functional testing, and assembly documentation. Bob also played a role in base station subsystem testing.

In 1998, Bob worked as an RF Engineer at CYLINK, designing various radio systems for volume production. Later that year, they joined Endwave Corporation as an RF Engineer, designing up and down converters for IF boards and various radios for LMDS applications.

From 2002 to 2005, Bob worked as a Principle Engineer at M/A-COM, where they designed and evaluated complex integrated chips and wire modules, designed power splitters, gain equalizers, filters, and amplifiers, and supported manufacturing teams during product rollout.

In 2005, Bob transitioned to Tessera as a Lead Wireless Engineer, where they played a crucial role until 2008.

After that, Bob joined Stratalight in 2008, working as a Senior RF Design Engineer. Their responsibilities included designing a driver amplifier for an optical transponder, supporting amplifier production through process improvements and failure analysis, conducting simulations for design and production support, and designing and turning on evaluation circuit boards.

Bob's most recent position was at Space Systems Loral, where they worked as a Responsible Engineer from 2010 to 2016, gaining experience in an engineering leadership role.

Currently, Bob is employed at Energous Corporation as a Principle RF Hardware Engineer, utilizing their expertise in the field of hardware engineering.

Bob Bernert attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1987, where they pursued a field of study in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. No specific degree information was provided.
