EnerGrid is committed to leading India’s Energy Transition by playing a crucial role in building critical Infrastructure for the nation’s renewable energy and net zero goals. It focuses on developing critical projects, including large-scale power transmission systems, utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Renewable Energy (RE) projects. These initiatives will strengthen the national grid, ensure a seamless energy transition, and optimize solar, wind, and other renewables for a more sustainable future.

EnerGrid draws strength from its co-sponsors - IndiGrid, British International Investment (BII), and the Norwegian Climate Investment Fund (Norfund). Backed by their operational expertise, strong governance, ESG focus, and robust financial support, EnerGrid is poised for sustainable growth. The three partners have committed USD 300 million equity capital, reinforcing their dedication to India’s energy transition.

EnerGrid’s strategic vision aligns with India's ambitious energy targets, including achieving 500 GW of RE capacity by 2030. To support this goal, the company is driving large-scale RE projects, deploying advanced BESS solutions to integrate renewable power with storage, and investing in modern transmission networks. These efforts will help meet the growing energy demand while ensuring economic development.

India’s energy sector presents immense opportunities, with an expected investment of INR 9.15 lakh crores (~USD 105 billion) required to enhance infrastructure and meet a projected demand of 458 GW by 2032. Technological advancements in energy storage will play a key role in transforming the sector, improving grid stability, and enabling greater RE integration.

Positioned at the forefront of this transformation, EnerGrid is dedicated to accelerating India’s transition to a cleaner, more sustainable, and resilient energy future.
