Greg Michael began their work experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at FirstEnergy in 1995. Greg then served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Buehrer Group Architecture & Engineering, Inc. from 1997 to 1998. Following this, Greg joined Black & Veatch as a Mechanical Engineer from 1998 to 2002. Greg returned to FirstEnergy in 2002 and held various positions including Mechanical Design Engineer, Unit Supervisor (Senior Reactor Operator), Design Engineering Supervisor, and Engineering Manager. In 2019, Greg joined Energy Harbor, where they currently serve as the Director of Engineering.

Greg Michael obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Toledo, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. In addition, they obtained a Senior Reactor Operator certification from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in October 2008 and a Volunteer Firefighter certification from the Ohio Department of Public Safety in June 2008. Greg also became a Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio in 2005.
