Ryan Smith, PMP has over 20 years of experience in project management. Ryan is currently serving as the Lead Project Manager at Energy Vault. Prior to this, they worked at Hitachi Energy as a Senior Project Manager, where they successfully delivered renewable energy projects worth over $35 million. Ryan has also held managerial positions at ScottMadden, Inc. and worked at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy as a Lead Project Manager, Lead Field Engineer, and Design Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for managing various projects, developing customized designs for inspection services, and coordinating with suppliers and development groups. Ryan has a strong background in improving grid automation and grid edge solutions, as well as extensive experience in mechanical design and lean action and six-sigma workouts.

Ryan Smith, PMP holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, which they completed from 2012 to 2013. Prior to their MBA, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University between 1999 and 2004. Ryan completed their high school education at Mount Tabor High School and received their HS Diploma in 1999. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in "Introduction to Quantum Computing" and "Digital Transformation" from LinkedIn. Ryan is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) accredited by the Project Management Institute.
