Dan Rice

Engineering Manager, DevOps at EnergyHub

Dan Rice has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dan began their career as a Network Administrator at Rice Fruit Company in 2004. From there, they worked as a Research Intern at StreamSage in 2005 and an Engineering Research Intern at Penn State University Cooperative Extension in 2006. In the same year, they also served as a Project Coordinator at Hewlett-Packard/Olin College SCOPE.

In 2007, Dan joined Rice Fruit Company again, this time as a Plant Engineer. Dan was responsible for managing capital improvement projects and overseeing IT and production engineering. After five years, they transitioned to self-employment as an Independent Project Consultant from 2012 to 2014.

Following their self-employment, Dan took on the role of Implementation Engineer at Opower from 2014 to 2016. Dan then joined Oracle Utilities as a Senior Principal Consultant from 2016 to 2019, and later as an Implementation Architect from 2019 to 2020.

In 2020, Dan joined SparkMeter as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, where they worked until 2022. Currently, they are employed at EnergyHub as an Engineering Manager, DevOps.

Dan Rice attended Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
