Matthew Scherer

Matthew Scherer, BS, GSP, currently serves as the Environment, Health and Safety Manager at EnerSys since March 2021. Prior to this role, Matthew held various positions at Nitto Americas from May 2014 to March 2021, including EHS Manager/Assistant Production Manager, Assistant Manager for EHS, EHS Supervisor, and EHS Administrator. Matthew began a career in the field of safety at UCM, where from May 2010 to May 2014, Matthew worked as Networks Services Field Tech, managing project operations and networking hardware devices. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Safety Management and a minor in Fire Science/Fire-fighting from the University of Central Missouri, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health with a focus on Environmental Health and Safety at the same institution.
