James Holliday

SVP, Data Science at Engage3

James Holliday is the Vice President of Data Science of Engage3. James has led Engage3’s data science innovations since 2014. He is a unique leader in how he superbly manages the balance between producing elegant and impactful solutions and driving impactful results.

Prior to Engage3, James served as the Chief Technology Officer of OpenHazards Group—a team of scientists and engineers who served as the leaders in earthquake forecasting and hazard analysis. He also served as Chief Technology Officer for XeraSys, Inc. while completing his postdoctoral research work with the University of California. James began his career working at the Wilson Laboratory of Nuclear Studies at Cornell University.

James serves as a Director of the Davis Makerspace, a diverse group of builders, makers, hackers, and programmers.

James earned his Ph.D. in Physics from UC Davis, his M.S. in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and his B.S. in Physics from the University of Kansas.
