Devin Lander is a seasoned historian, currently serving as the New York State Historian since 2016. They previously held the position of Executive Director at the Museum Association of New York from 2014 to 2016, and served as Deputy Legislative and Policy Director for the New York State Assembly from 2008 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Devin worked as a Project Archivist at the University at Albany and as a Consultant for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in American History from SUNY Plattsburgh and a Master of Arts in Public/Applied History from SUNY Albany.
