Débora Leão

Débora Leão is a Senior Policy and Advocacy Adviser for Climate at UNICEF UK, currently holding the position since May 2023. As a co-founder and communications coordinator of Engajamundo since September 2012, Débora has played a vital role in leading a network of 2,000 members and developing advocacy strategies for youth engagement in decision-making processes. Previous experience includes serving as a researcher for CIVICUS, a Latin America Representative for the UN-Habitat Youth Advisory Board, and a Global Focal Point for the UN Major Group for Children and Youth during the Habitat 3 conference. Débora also worked as an advisor at the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the UN and held consultancy roles in UK Trade & Investment. Education includes a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor in International Relations from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.
