Simon Ashforth has a wealth of experience in the field of physics. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Lab Demonstrator and Tutor at the University of Auckland's Department of Physics, supervising students in their practical laboratory component in courses such as Physics 91F, 92F, 120, and 160. During this time, they also completed their PhD at The Photon Factory, a joint research centre in the School of Chemical Sciences and the Department of Physics at the University of Auckland, focusing on using ultrafast laser pulses for applications in orthopaedic surgery.
