James C. Sullivan is the current Chief Scientific Officer at enGene. James has over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked at various companies such as Translate Bio, Sana Biotechnology, Inc., Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

James started their career in 2002 as a Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb. James then moved to Vertex Pharmaceuticals in 2008, where they worked their way up to Director. In 2019, they left Vertex to join Sana Biotechnology as their Executive Director and Head of Translational Biology. James stayed at Sana for two years before moving to their current role at enGene.

Throughout their career, James has made significant contributions to the advancement of pulmonary discovery and translational biology. James's work has helped to improve the lives of countless patients suffering from respiratory diseases.

James C. Sullivan has a Ph.D. in Genome Sciences/Genetics from Boston University and a Master's degree in Environmental Chemistry from University College Dublin. James also has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Boston College.
