Emily Gonthier

Emily Gonthier is a highly experienced professional in the field of environmental engineering, currently serving as a Staff Engineer in Water Resources at ENGEO since January 2024. At PLOS, Emily has held roles as a Production Editor and Production Coordinator since September 2021, guiding articles through publication while managing communication and timelines. Emily's prior academic experience includes a Graduate Student Researcher role at the University of California, Berkeley, where research focused on microbial roles in wastewater treatment and involvement in projects related to nature-based solutions.
