Matthieu Besson

Matthieu Besson currently serves as the Research & Innovation Director at ENGIE, leading the VIBES initiative to assess and implement new business cases derived from emerging technologies. With extensive experience at ENGIE since August 2013, Matthieu has held various leadership roles, including Project Director for the Strategic Innovation & Disruption Department, where Matthieu defined the Group Innovation Strategy, and Director of Strategy, Partnerships, and Institutional Relationships for Solutions for Cities, focusing on strategic positioning and partnership development. Prior to this, Matthieu managed gas supply and aggregation for the Cameroon LNG project and worked as a Senior Key Account Manager at GRTgaz, where relationships with major clients and stakeholders were maintained. Matthieu began his career at GRDF as the Head of the Gas Network Agency, demonstrating significant leadership and operational improvements. Education includes an elite engineering and business degree from Mines Paris - PSL.
