Engine Alliance

The Engine Alliance (EA) makes the quietest, most reliable, most fuel efficient engine for the Airbus A380, with an annual advantage worth up to $6 million USD. Founded in 1996, the EA is a 50-50 joint venture between GE Aviation and Pratt & Whitney (P&W). The EA powers the majority of all A380s around the globe, with aircraft operated by Emirates, Air France, Korean Air, Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways. Each of these aircraft enjoys up to $500,000 in annual fuel savings and up to $5.5 million in additional passenger revenue per year. The engine has maintained the higher reliability record for the A380 in spite of averaging shorter missions and enduring tougher operating environments. Passengers and crew also enjoy the benefits of an engine that is noticeably quieter at 0.8 EPNdB lower than the competition. The EA combines the best of GE and P&W with industry-leading engine health monitoring systems. The company also offers the world’s largest support network, with field service engineers in more than 100 cities around the globe. Only the EA offers the most flexible suite of A380 engine services, including engine overhaul, quick-turn capabilities, component repair and on-wing support. With all these benefits, the EA is the only engine supplier that is 100% dedicated to the success of your A380 fleet. Would you like to join us?
