Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Engine Biosciences

Dmitry Rychkov has worked in a variety of roles since 2001. From 2001 to 2005, they worked as a Research Assistant at Lomonosov Moscow State University. Dmitry then moved to the Steklov Mathematical Institute, where they held positions as a Technical Secretary and Research Assistant from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Southern California. During this time, they developed a new background independent Moyal star formalism in bosonic open string field theory. In 2015, they became a Data Science Competitor at Kaggle. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Sirota Lab at BCHSI and Sarwal Lab at Dept. of Surgery, where they developed a novel computational diagnostics tool Instability Score in application to kidney transplant state monitoring and identified a set of putative biomarkers in rheumatoid arthritis. Since 2021, they have been working as a Scientist II at Engine Biosciences.

Dmitry Rychkov's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), obtained in 2003. Dmitry then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from MSU in 2005. After this, they became a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Candidate in Theoretical High Energy Physics, String Field Theory at MSU, which they completed in 2007. Dmitry then attended the Theoretical Advanced Study Institute in Elementary Particle Physics (TASI) in 2010. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical High Energy Physics, String Field Theory from the University of Southern California in 2014. Additionally, Dmitry Rychkov has obtained certifications in Statistical Learning from Stanford University (2015), R Programming from Coursera (2014), and Machine Learning from Coursera (2014).
