David Sundin, Ph.D. has extensive experience in various roles and industries. David is currently the Chief Scientist at Engineered Fluids since June 2017. Previously, they served as the President of Dielectric Systems, Inc. from March 1992 to January 2018. In this role, they had complete P&L responsibility and was involved in product development, equipment design, and negotiation with suppliers and customers.

From November 2013 to October 2017, Sundin worked as a Project Manager at Cleartech Technologies, Ltd. Here, they were responsible for the construction and commission of a lubricants recycling and blending plant in Doha, Qatar. David managed approval of technology and plant design, construction schedule, risk management, and plant startup.

As the President of SVB Environmental Lubricants from February 2007 to July 2017, Sundin handled the manufacturing and sales of industrial lubricants. David had full P&L responsibility, oversaw new product development, and managed process plant design and construction. The company had facilities in the United States and Sãu Paulo, Brazil.

Prior to that, Sundin worked as the owner of Ambit Technical Consulting from July 2012 to June 2017. Here, they provided consulting services in various fields including heat transfer, chemical process design, and project management. David was an international consultant and recognized expert in several industries, research facilities, the military, and academia.

Sundin also served as the Chief Signal Officer (G6) of TXSG Medical Brigade, General's Staff in the Texas State Guard from 2004 to 2009. In this role, they were responsible for communications standardization and coordination with other organizations.

Before that, from September 1985 to February 1992, Sundin worked as the Dielectric Fluids Manager at Cooper Power Systems. David managed marketing, production, and new product development for dielectric fluid products. David also held leadership positions in international professional societies and standards bodies, and was invited to speak at international technical conferences.

Sundin began their career as the Laboratory Manager at Calumet Refining Co. (now Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P.) from 1979 to 1985. Here, they managed quality control and process laboratories, overseeing testing and reporting of various materials and environmental factors.

David Sundin, Ph.D. pursued their education by starting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, with a major in Chemistry, from Hendrix College. This was achieved between the years 1975 and 1979. Subsequently, they continued their academic journey and obtained an MBA in Production Management from Keller Graduate School of Management during the period of 1986 to 1987. Moving forward, between 1989 and 1993, David pursued a Ph.D. in Engineering, specializing in the Management of Technology, from Clayton College of Engineering. Continuing their education, they completed a Post-graduate certificate in Sustainable Environmental Development, known as Pós-Graduação Gestão Socioambiental, from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas during the time span of 2009 to 2010. Lastly, in 2013 and 2014, they acquired a Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management, known as Pós Graduação Gestão de Projetos, also from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas.
