Jorge Varela P.e.

Jorge Varela, P.E. is an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Engineered Tower Solutions since June 2022. Prior roles include Project Engineer at S&ME from October 2021 to June 2022, and Geotechnical Senior Staff Engineer at Terracon from October 2018 to October 2021, where initial experience as a Geotechnical Staff Engineer was also gained. Jorge held positions as Project Manager at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC, as well as Staff Professional and Engineer Technician at Geo-Hydro Engineers, Inc. Experience in inventory management and logistics was attained at Serhosa Servicios Hospitalarios, along with earlier work as a Realtor at RE/MAX and participation in a Master E&P program at Repsol. An intensive technical consulting role in ground stabilization was fulfilled at Ground Engineering Operations in Spain and India. Jorge holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Universidad de Oviedo and a Master's Degree in Geology and Geotechnical Engineering from Universidad de los Pueblos de Europa, supplemented by an Erasmus program at Masaryk University Brno.
