Michael Payne is an experienced technical writer and program analyst, currently supporting the Department of the Navy and the Office of Naval Research's SBIR/STTR Program at Engineering Services Network since October 2022. Prior experience includes a similar role at Cydecor, Inc. from March 2017 to October 2022. Michael also co-founded Ascendance Strategies, providing geopolitical analysis and international threat assessments from June 2014 to February 2017. Additional roles include a counter-terrorism researcher at the International Institute for Counter Terrorism and a mediator for the Center for Civic Mediation. Michael's education includes a Master's degree in Public Policy with a focus on International Relations and Economics from Pepperdine University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from California State University, Northridge.
