Ben Opfermann

Ben is the lead engineer and patent inventor of ES3’s Magnetron Sputtering technology which restore the internal dimensions of landing gear outer cylinders. Ben’s leads a team of engineers and technicians in a custom designed Magnetron Sputtering laboratory and production facility. He oversees all the research and development of new Magnetron Sputtering equipment for new materials and applications in addition to overseeing the prototyping and integration of repairs for landing gear components. Ben has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and has over 10 years of experience in vacuum system designs and sputtering related operations.
