Frederick Slane currently serves as the International Chair of ISO TC20/SC20 Space Systems and Operations at the International Organization for Standardization since January 2023 and has been the Executive Director of Space Infrastructure Foundation, Inc. since March 2003, focusing on international standards and a Global Space Architecture Framework. With a rich background in aerospace and defense, Frederick held various roles including Senior Consultant at Engineering Systems Inc., Research Associate and Director of Space Standards Division at Space Environment Technologies, and contributed to the Aerospace and Defense Team at Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance until August 2023. Previous experiences include serving as a US Air Force Officer, Senior Systems Engineer at Ball Aerospace, and leadership roles in the AIAA. Frederick holds multiple degrees, including a BA in Math/Physics from Willamette University, an MBA from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and an MS in Astrophysics from The University of New Mexico, along with extensive training in aerospace disciplines.
