Abby Hickling

Abby Hickling is an experienced Senior HR Manager currently supporting EngineeringUK in inspiring diverse young people to pursue STEM and engineering careers. Previously, Abby held roles such as HR Business Partner at The British Museum and Plan International UK, and Head of HR at the College of Optometrists, where responsibilities included supporting professional development for optometrists. Abby's career also includes positions at Visteon Corporation and Raytheon, focusing on HR management in engineering sectors. As a Clerk to School Governors, Abby provided freelance support to schools, advising on policy matters. Abby holds a BA Hons in Ancient History and Archaeology from the University of Birmingham and a CIPD qualification in Human Resources Management.
