Hilary Leevers

Hilary Leevers is the Chief Executive Officer of EngineeringUK, serving since January 2019, where the organization focuses on encouraging diverse youth to pursue careers in engineering and technology. Prior to this role, Hilary held the position of Head of Education and Learning at Wellcome Trust from September 2011 to December 2018, leading initiatives to enhance science education and collaborating on various projects with multiple organizations. Hilary also worked as the Assistant Director at the Campaign for Science and Engineering from February 2007 to July 2011, advocating for policies impacting the science and engineering sectors in the UK. Early career experiences include being a Developmental Research Consultant from 2001 to 2006 and conducting longitudinal research as a Post-Doc, Research Associate, and Assistant Professor at the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University from 1997 to 2001. Hilary Leevers holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
