Jim Smith

Jim Smith currently serves as the Strategic Trust Lead for Culture at Nova Education Trust and has held the position of Trustee at EngineeringUK since September 2021. As Head Teacher at Meden School since July 2018, Jim Smith has also previously held roles such as Deputy Headteacher. Jim's past experience includes positions as BTEC Standards Verifier at Pearson and Developer for Engineering Design and D&T at OCR. Jim Smith has contributed to NUAST as Assistant Principal and Alfreton Grange Arts College as Assistant Head Teacher, with earlier roles including Head of Technology & Senior House Tutor at Hope Valley College and D&T Teacher at Tupton Hall School. Jim's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Design & Technology from Nottingham Trent University and various leadership and coaching qualifications from OLEVI and Leeds Beckett University.
