Ruth Carter

Ruth Carter is currently the Chief Executive Officer at the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) since May 2021, overseeing a global community of over 21,000 members. In addition, Ruth serves as a Trustee at EngineeringUK and a Non-Executive Director at Actuate UK, which is a key alliance for UK engineering services. Previously, Ruth held various leadership roles, including Director at Red Fox Advisory Ltd, Chairman of AIMed, and Non-Executive Director positions at Mash Media, Inclusive Companies, and Women in Exhibitions. Ruth has a notable background in transforming organizations, exemplified by a successful tenure as Managing Director at Telegraph Media Group Ltd, which achieved significant revenue and profit growth. Educationally, Ruth obtained a GTCL (Hons) degree in Music from Trinity College of Music.
