David Lapp

David Lapp is the Practice Lead for Globalization and Sustainable Development at Engineers Canada, a position held since 1997. With a background in Geological Engineering from the University of Toronto, where they earned a B.A.Sc. in 1978, David has focused on environmental, sustainability, and climate change issues within the engineering sector. They managed a long-term project assessing public infrastructure's vulnerability to climate change since 2005 and previously served as Secretary for the World Federation of Engineering Organizations’ Committee on Engineering and the Environment from 2007 to 2015. David continues to support national action plans related to climate change adaptation.
