Nathaniel Erickson is an accomplished aerospace and mechanical engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Currently serving as a Flight Control Systems Intern at Garmin since May 2022, Nathaniel is focused on developing a model-based simulation test environment for flight control systems. In addition to this role, Nathaniel has been involved in the MSAT Advanced Propulsion Experiment since October 2019, where work includes thrust determination using a Kalman filter and addressing I2C protocol issues. As a Project Lead for Engineers Without Borders USA, Nathaniel oversees teams focused on implementing potable water systems in Ecuador and Bolivia. Nathaniel's previous experience includes a Technical Design Intern position at Leonardo DRS, where design optimization and adherence to military specifications were key responsibilities. Early career experience includes work as a Pro-Shop Assistant at Jefferson City Country Club, where Nathaniel provided maintenance support and coaching for young golfers.
