Nela Loftin

Nela Loftin is a second-year engineering student at Swarthmore College, pursuing a double major in engineering. At Swarthmore, Nela serves as a Green Advisor in the Office of Sustainability, managing reuse and repair workshops and supporting the college's zero-waste initiative. Nela also founded and co-presides over the Swarthmore Chapter of Engineers Without Borders USA, leading projects focused on water sanitation and public health. Additionally, Nela has held internships at the Black Cultural Center and the Global Engagement Office, fostering community and sharing student experiences. Nela's commitment to sustainability and community engagement is evident in their various roles on campus.
