Sumay Trivedi

Sumay Trivedi serves as the Secretary and Tanzania Project Lead for Engineers Without Borders USA, managing a water supply project in Karatu, Tanzania, which benefits over 1500 community members. Key achievements include overseeing the construction of rainwater harvesting systems at a local primary school and facilitating discussions for a borehole well with local government authorities. As a Project Tanzania Member at Rutgers School of Engineering, Sumay Trivedi assists in research involving hydrolytic enzymes, employing advanced laboratory techniques for enzymatic activity assessments. Additionally, Sumay Trivedi gained teaching experience as a Chemistry Teaching Intern at Rutgers University-New Brunswick while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, expected to graduate in May 2026.
