Desda James (CEng MIMechE CAPM) is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as Chief Engineer QHSE (Projects) and Project Manager (QHSE) at ENIPROGETTI S.P.A. since July 2013, Desda has also held roles including Project Engineering Manager at Eni Engineering E&P Ltd and Mechanical Engineer at Maersk Oil, where responsibilities included operations support for floating production units and managing crane upgrades on dry dock projects. Desda's career began at BG Group as Lead Project Engineer, progressing subsea projects through concept definition to Field Development Plan stages. Desda holds a First Class Honours Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aston University and completed secondary education at Wolverhampton Girls High School, achieving top grades.
