Fabio Zanon earned a Master’s degree in Control & Automation Engineering from the University of Padova in 1996 and began their career in the energy sector in 1998, working at Saipem and later at Eni. From 1998 to 2013, they focused on research and development in marine, subsea, and deep-sea robotics, participating in significant scientific expeditions, including the XVIII Italian expedition to Antarctica. Between 2013 and 2018, they served as a project leader in marine energy technologies. Currently, as a Magnetic Fusion Specialist at Eni, they manage projects related to tokamak operations and the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. As of 2023, they hold the title of WBS Manager and Responsible Officer for the CODAS of the Divertor Tokamak Test project.
