Iain Coates is a seasoned Lead Well Engineer currently contracted with Eni in The Hague, Netherlands, specializing in sand control, advanced completions, and artificial lift. Previously, Iain worked as a Well Engineer with ExxonMobil in Angola and held various positions at Eni, including Senior Well Engineer and contract Lead Completion/Testing Engineer for Nexen-CNOOC's Deepwater Excellence Team. Iain's extensive experience also includes roles at Weatherford and Baker Hughes, where they contributed to the development and optimization of completion technologies. Iain earned a BSc in Environmental Science and an MSc in Mechanical and Offshore Engineering from The Robert Gordon University.
