René Persoon is currently the Head of Well Engineering at Eni Energy Netherlands, a position held since 2024. Previously, René has held several significant roles in the petroleum engineering field, including Senior Drilling Engineer at Tulip Oil and KISTOS PLC, Team Leader Drilling at Dana Petroleum Limited, and Head of Well Operations at Neptune Energy. René gained foundational engineering experience through internships at Drydocks World Dubai and Van Riet Material Handlings, and completed a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering at Delft University of Technology.
