Jos Helmich has extensive experience in software engineering and cybersecurity, currently serving as a member of both the Alumni and Advisory Groups at the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) since March 2023, focusing on the Cyber Security Act (2019) and NIS-2 evaluations. As a product security architect at Konecranes since October 2017, Jos oversees the implementation of ISA/IEC 62443 and ISO/IEC-27001 standards and previously held the position of Chief Software Engineer at the same company, specializing in Asset Intelligence Development. Earlier roles include test software engineer at Valtra Inc., with a focus on automated testing for embedded systems, and software engineer positions at Parker Hannifin and Vansco Electronics, contributing to the development of embedded software for agricultural machinery. Jos also founded Valaquanta, exploring IoT, and has a strong educational background, including a Master’s degree in Econometrics from the University of Groningen and various certifications in project management and software testing.
