Matthew Black

Matthew Black has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Matthew started their career as a Software Engineer co-op student at Northern Dynamics in 2002. Matthew then moved on to Descartes Systems Group in 2003, where they worked as a Software Engineer co-op student. In 2004, they joined Sandvine as a Software Engineer and worked there until 2006. Matthew then transitioned to a Quantitative Developer role at CIBC World Markets from 2008 to 2011. Matthew continued this role at Knowledge Funds Ltd. from 2011 to 2013. Starting from 2013, they worked at eSentire Inc. in multiple positions, including Sr. Software Engineer, Development Manager, and Lead Software Architect. Matthew'smost recent position is at Dematic, where they served as a Big Data Architect from 2017 to 2019. Since 2019, Matthew has been working as a Principal Data Engineer at Enlighted Inc.

Matthew Black obtained their Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in the years 1999-2004. Matthew later pursued a Master of Mathematics in Quantitative Finance at the same institution from 2006-2007.
