Michael Kaminsky

Michael Kaminsky has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Michael is currently the Chief Science Officer and Founder of Enriched Ag, where they apply machine learning to optimize cattle ranch operations. Michael'sresponsibilities include utilizing satellite data and cheap cameras to optimize grazing and monitor animal health.

Prior to their current role, Michael worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Carnegie Mellon University for over 17 years. During this time, they collaborated with faculty and students, resulting in almost 100 publications and multiple Best Paper awards.

Michael also held multiple roles at Intel Labs, including Senior Research Scientist for the Intel Science and Technology Center for Visual Cloud Systems and Cloud Computing. In these positions, they focused on scaling visual data processing, efficient storage of visual data, and developing technologies for cloud computing.

Furthermore, Michael served as a Technical Advisory Board member for Marianas Labs Inc., an early deep learning startup.

Michael Kaminsky earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1994 to 1998. Michael then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1998 to 2000. Following this, they furthered their education at MIT and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science between 2001 and 2004.
