Daniel Velasco

Daniel Velasco, Ed.D, currently serves as President & CEO of Ensemble Learning and has been a Principal Consultant at Equity Leadership Strategies, LLC since 2011. Velasco has designed mentorship training for the LGBTQIA Mentors Program at Jacksonville University and served as faculty for the Emerging LGBTQIA+ Nonprofit Leaders and Board Leadership Fellowship at the Nonprofit Center of NE Florida. Consulting contributions include work with the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative on developing a DEI mission and vision statement and support for the Teacher Diversity Fund selection with NewSchools Venture Fund. Previously, Velasco held leadership roles at Latinos for Education and served as Regional Director at Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Social Organization of Schools. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education from The Johns Hopkins University and various degrees from Harvard University and other esteemed institutions, focusing on education policy, nonprofit management, and international development.
