Steve Clewer

Steve Clewer has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Steve is currently working as a Lead Consultant at Ensono Digital, where they are engaged as a solution architect on two projects. These projects involve implementing a change from a monolithic architecture to a more microservices-based approach, including integrations with ForgeRock Identity Cloud and Talon. Prior to this role, Steve held the position of Senior Consultant at Ensono Digital, where they worked as a consultant developer and technical lead on various projects, including a project for a British luxury fashion house based on the SAP Customer Data Cloud IDAM solution. Steve also worked as a Consultant at Ensono Digital, where they were engaged in a Java-based IDAM solution project for a UK Government department hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

Before joining Ensono Digital, Steve worked at Ixxus as a Technical Lead, responsible for coordinating and managing the development of ECM projects primarily within the publishing sector. Steve also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ixxus, where they developed components of systems for managing large document collections using the Alfresco Enterprise Content Management system.

Prior to Ixxus, Steve worked at Amdocs as a Senior Software Engineer, where they focused on developing service-fulfilment components of a Java EE system for internet service providers. Steve utilized various technologies like WSDL-based web services, Axis2, Hibernate, XSD, JAXB, and XSL transforms in their work.

Steve also worked at JacobsRimell as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed components of a provisioning system for ISPs based on processing OSS/J messages. This system utilized a service bus-type architecture and ran on Weblogic and JBoss application servers.

Additionally, Steve worked at Network Centric Solutions as a Senior Java Consultant, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of a Java EE web application for a multinational bank. Steve used servlets, JSPs, taglibs, and an Oracle 9i database in their work.

Steve began their career at Box UK as a Systems Developer, where they developed Java/XML-based applications and components for a browser-based content management system.

Steve also worked as a Research Associate at Cardiff University, where they managed a software development and electronic marketing project, and as a Production Editor at the Institute of Physics Publishing, where they managed the production of online journals and performed editing and layout tasks.

Overall, Steve Clewer has a strong background in software development and has worked in various industries, including digital consulting, publishing, and telecommunications.

Steve Clewer graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc degree in Physics in 1991. Steve then pursued further education at the same university and obtained a PhD in Particle Physics in 1995.

In addition to their academic achievements, Steve has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include certifications in ForgeRock Identity Cloud Core Skills, ForgeRock Access Management Product Knowledge, and ForgeRock Identity Gateway Product Knowledge from ForgeRock in 2021. Steve also holds a certification as a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 1.4 platform from Sun Microsystems, obtained in 2005. Furthermore, Steve is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), certified as an Alfresco Certified Engineer by Alfresco in 2014, and holds a Red Hat Certified Technician certification from Red Hat, obtained in 2005.
